Thank you for your interest in the 2009 Santa Barbara Women’s Open. This two day, mid-week tournament has been ongoing for approximately 40 years. This year we will continue with both the individual stroke play format and the scramble team option. The field will be divided between the two courses, Santa Barbara Golf Club and Sandpiper Golf Club, the first day of play is on Wednesday, July 29th. On Thursday, July 30th, all golfers will switch to the course they have not yet played.

A Bar-b-que lunch will follow golf the first day at each course. The tournament will end with a Combined Awards Banquet at beautiful Sandpiper Golf Course on the lawn above the 10th tee with a view of the Pacific Ocean. There will be wine tasting available prior to the awards luncheon along with a raffle for Junior Golf. The earlier starting time at Sandpiper should eliminate too much delay in the combined luncheon.

Please review the registration forms and rules documents for additional information regarding the tournament. If you are interested in putting together a Scramble Team, please pay CLOSE ATTENTION to the “Team Composition” Guidelines in the Scramble Team Rules. These are the rules are utilized for the EWGA National Championships.

We will be requesting size information when we send your registration confirmation. We will give you as much information as possible to help you determine the appropriate size at that time.

NOTE: We will be awarding prizes for BOTH GROSS AND NET this year!!
